Mr Jayanthi graduated from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute in India. After undertaking research at University of Oxford he completed specialist surgical training from All Wales Higher Surgical Training programme. Following this, Mr Jayanthi did fellowships at world-renowned centres of excellence. He spent a year as a Senior Laparoscopic Fellow at ICENI, Colchester (Centre for advanced laparoscopic surgery), another year as a Senior Registrar at St James’ University Hospital, Leeds (leading centre for Gastro-Oesophageal cancer) and completed much coveted Ethicon Bariatric Fellowship at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton (International Centre of Excellence).
Mr Jayanthi is a Consultant Surgeon specialising in treatment of Benign & Malignant Upper GI pathology and Bariatric Surgery. His practice includes Laparoscopic, Thoracoscopic and Robotic surgery. Mr Jayanthi is the Cancer Lead for Essex Upper GI, Regional Centre for Oesophago-gastric Surgery.
