Brain Tumor Foundation, Chairman
Michael Schreiber became determined to help brain tumor patients and their families after witnessing his own father battle a Glioblastoma.
He has been actively involved in all aspects of BTF since its inception 20 years ago. Michael is President of Royal Farms, a privately owned real estate management firm, and has used his extensive knowledge to create and help implement innovative BTF programs. Under Michael’s leadership and proactive approach the Brain Tumor Foundation launched the Road to Early Detection campaign in 2006 . This ground-breaking project is an official research study in adherence with IRB mandates. BTF offers free brain scans nationwide, particularly to underserved communities, using a 70 foot tractor trailer hosting a mobile MRI Unit. Under the IRB rubric, BTF is spearheading research in conjunction with Columbia University Medical Center, NY Presbyterian Hospital and the Mailman School for Public Health. In addition, BTF is introduced BTF KIDs - a revolutionary app to help improved the care and outcome of children with brain tumors. This app will be made available later this year in partnership with pediatric centers around the country. It will also be available internationally.
Michael and his wife, Nancy have three children.
